How do I clean my SHO Calix?

We recommend cleaning your SHO Calix with hot water and liquid detergent.

The SHO Brush can be used to clean hard-to-reach areas.

The SHO Calix is not dishwasher safe.

Store your SHO Calix with the lid removed.

For a deep clean we recommend using SHO Cleaning Powder.

Do not soak your SHO Calix in water for a prolonged period as this can cause damage to the paintwork.

Tannin Stains and Hard Water Build-up

If you use your Calix for tea and coffee, you may find that the tannins in your drinks can start to stain your mug, even when cleaned after every use. This causes the Calix to take on a brownish colour that can be mistaken for rust.

Hardwater build-up can also cause your Calix to become coated in a white film.

For this, we recommend using the SHO Cleaning Powder to remove stains.

Alternatively, you can use a mixture of white vinegar and hot water, by using half a dishwasher tablet or using a denture cleaning tablet.

Do not mix any of the cleaning methods above and always wash your Calix with hot water and liquid detergent after completing a deep clean.
