How Do I Assemble The SHO Newt Straw Lid?
The SHO Newt straw lid is designed to fully disassemble for easy cleaning. This ensures all parts can be properly washed, maintained, and reassembled for safe everyday use.

Step 1: Identify and prepare the parts
Ensure all components are clean and fully dry before assembly.
Included Parts:
- Seal
- Gasket
- Spout
- Straw lid upper
- Straw lid inner
- Straw lid lower
- Stainless steel straw
Step 2: Fit the seal
Place the seal into the designated groove inside the lid assembly.
Make sure it sits flat and evenly to ensure a secure, leakproof fit.
Step 3: Insert the gasket
Position the gasket into place within the inner lid structure.
Press it firmly into place, ensuring it is evenly seated all the way around.
Step 4: Attach the spout
Fit the spout into the inner lid section.
Align the hinges with the notches on the inner lid and ensure it sits securely in place.
Step 5: Assemble the lid sections
Bring together the:
- straw lid upper
- straw lid inner
- straw lid lower
Place the straw lid upper over the spout and inner lid section, ensuring the notches align so the spout sits flush.
Carefully turn the assembly over, then screw the straw lid lower into the underside of the upper lid section until secure. You may feel slight resistance as the parts lock into place.
Step 6: Insert the straw
Attach the stainless steel straw into the underside of the lid, into the gasket connection point.
Ensure it is firmly inserted and secure.
Step 7: Final check
Before use, check that:
- All parts are fully secured
- The spout opens and closes smoothly
- The straw is firmly attached
- The lid feels tightly assembled
